PA Nelson Thames Valley beat Nelson Bays, 13-12, at Motueka’s Rugby Park yesterday to earn four more championship points. It was Thames Valley’s second one-point result in five days after losing, 910, to West Coast at Grey-
mouth on Saturday but it earned its win at Motueka scoring the game’s only two tries. Scorers.— Thames Valley 13, John Schuler, Irvin Campbell tries; Chris Costello a penalty and conversion. Nelson Bays 12, Tony Hannen four penalties.
