Hospital Board Appointments NORTHLAND AREA HEALTH BOARD CHARGE NURSE WARD ONE ORTHOPAEDICS NORTHLAND BASE HOSPITAL THE WARD CONSISTS of 38 beds and there are three Orthopaedic Surgeons providing the specialist Orthopaedic service which caters for the whole of Northland. This position is due to become vacant at the beginning of November. An experienced nurse with at least two years post basic experience relevant to this position is required to administer patient services, supervise Nursing Practice and provide educational opportunities on the job for staff in the Orthopaedic Ward. This is a senior post and proven leadership skill is essential. Formal management training is not required but the successful appointee will be required to participate in such courses and should have or be working towards a Diploma of Nursing or similar qualification.
