HEATHCOTE COUNTY COUNCIL NOTICE OF INTENTION MAKE RATES NOTICE IS GIVEN that at a special meeting of the Heathcote County .Council to be held on October 2, 1986, Council intends to make and levy the following rates and charges for the year commencing April 1,1986, and ending March 31, 1987: 1. General Rate Under the provisions of Section 136(2) (b) of the Local Government Act 1974, the following General Rates on the respective capital values of the various sectors of rateable properties in the County of Heathcote: Sector of rateable property Cents in the dollar Industrial .44746 Commercial .242946 Rural .20751 Residential and Other .125342 2. Uniform Annual General Charge Under the provisions of Section 157 A of the Local Government Act 1974, a uniform annual general charge of $l5O on every separately rateable property within the district of the County of Heathcote. 3. On Behalf of the Christchurch Transport Board A separate rate of .12717 cents in the dollar on the capital value of all rateable property in the County of Heathcote as a Christchurch Transport Board rate within the Christchurch Transport Board area. 8. Gwynfa Avenue Special Rating Area Under the provisions of Section 142 of the Local Government Act 1974, a special rate of .0716 cents in the dollar on the capital value of all property defined as within the Gwynfa Avenue Special Rating area. 9. Multi-use Properties In accordance with Section 147 of the Local Government Act 1974, an additional charge of 10 per cent per unit or use in excess of one will apply to all rateable properties In the County of Heathcote — the additional charge will be levied on the general rate and the water rate. 10. Due Date: Penalty Dates (a) Pursuant to the Rating Act 1967, the said rates and charges are to be due and payable to the Heathcote County Council on the 16th day of each of April, July, October 1986 and January 1987. (b) Pursuant to the provisions of Section 71 of the Rating Act 1967, an additional charge of 10 per cent shall be added to all rates unpaid at the expiration of 42 days from the due dates of each of the instalments outlined in paragraph 10(a) above. The above rates and charges are in substitution for the rates and charges approved by Council on July 10, 1986, and then Incorporated in the rates Instalment assessments issued on July 16, 1986.
