Wgtn’s glass ‘unnecessary’

PA Wellington Wellington’s city architect, Mr Graham Allardice, has resigned and he leaves the job unhappy with the way the capital is developing. Mr Allardice, who will leave the Wellington City Council in two months after four years service, said the city was being rebuilt because of the earthquake risk, but was ending up being built of glass. He said no doubt the buildings were being constructed to the best standards but buildings of glass were an unnecessary risk.
