Peko Wallsend
Peko Wallsend, Ltd, battling with unions at its Robe River mining operation in Western Australia, has reported an annual consolidated operating profit of sAust 50.2 M — its best result for five years. But in a statement accompanying the profit results, the company blamed the industrial dispute at Robe River site for severe losses of production. The corresponding result for the previous year was $22.7M. Directors have recommended a final dividend of 10c, making 20c for the year, 10c more than the previous year.
