New book on island groups
Wellington reporter A new book on the history of New Zealand’s sub-Antarctic Islands will be launched soon. It is written by Conan Fraser, with the foreward by Sir Peter Scott, and called “Beyond the Roaring Forties.”
The book is about five groups of islands that are among the most remote and wild on the planet; the Antipodes, Bounty, Snares, Campbell and Auckland groups.
It is the first comprehensive and modern book on the islands and is lavishly illustrated in colour.
