Assault charges laid
A man will appear in the District Court this morning on a charge related to an attack on two Christchurch men on Friday evening. A man, aged 20, was arrested yesterday and charged with assault with intent to injure. The • accused was known to the complainants, said Detective Sergeant Kevin Burrowes, of the Christchurch police. The two men, who work together, were attacked by four people at 11.15 p.m. last Friday. One attack took place in the men’s office in Worcester Street and the other in a nearby car-park. Both men were admitted to
hospital with injuries, one being discharged on Saturday and the other'yesterday. # The police are continuing inquiries. ’
