Throughout the year there are between 12 and 15 productions staged in the theatre. Renowned for its artistic excellence. The Court Theatre is one of New Zealand's most successful theatre organisations. Court experience is often in demand and in fulfilling its role as a community theatre, The Court shares its resources outside the four walls of the theatre itself. The Court’s creative team of set, lighting, costume and artistic designers made an invaluable contribution to the recent opera “The Magic Flute,” staged at the James Hay Theatre, and Court technicians frequently instruct at seminars arranged by community groups or schools wanting to learn more about stage craft.
