A boring flight of fancy
“DREAMS COME TRUE” Starring Michael Sanville, Stephanie Shuford. Directed by Max Kalmanowicz. CBS-Fox. 85min. M. This is an unusual com-edy-fantasy about a young couple who stumble upon the secret of astral projection, or soul travelling. They meet each other by accident in their dreams and when they realise the awesome power they possess they start to live out their fantasies throughout the world. There is danger, though. Robin and Lee can go soul travelling only when their bodies are asleep. If their bodies are awakened while they are travelling, their physic? bodies will die and their souls will be in limbo forever.
Frankly, the synopsis and the artwork on the tape box are probably the most interesting thing about this movie. There are a couple of steamy love-making scenes that justify the M-rating, but all in all there is not much to recommend it.
As a flight of fancy, it never really gets off the ground.
