Bush fire
By RODNEY GOWER, aged 10 The people ran The animals fled The birds flew away I had the courage to stay For the poor little koala stuck in the tree Sitting there waiting for me I got some wet sacks laid them on The ground and climbed up the tree and Slowly came down with a koala in my arms The people cheered The koala ran away For I was the hero of the day.
