Work cranes need folding
Junior Press readers have another chance these holidays to contribute to the United Nations International Year of Peace. Remember in the May Holidays the Canterbury Public Library held paper crane-folding sessions? The target was 5000 paper cranes, to be sent to Christchurch’s sister cities as part of the peace year
activities. So far 2700 cranes have been folded, and the Children’s Library is holding paper crane-folding sessions each day during the August holidays so that the 5000 target can be reached by the end of this month. So take your opportunity to make your contribution and go along to the library.
