Simple Minds confirmed
A New Zealand visit by the Scottish band Simple Minds has been confirmed. They will play in Christchurch on November 4, and wind up an 18month world tour in Auckland five days later. American-based Simple Minds are not expected to play live again until 1988. They have played in New Zealand twice before, last appearing at Sweetwaters South in 1984. It was there that Jim Kerr met Chrissie Hynde of The Pretenders, with whom he has since had a child. Tickets for the Christchurch show in the Town Hall, will go on sale on September 3, at $28.20.
