Bishop Wiggins (left), suffragen Bishop of Wellington, and the former Catholic Bishop of Christchurch, the Most Rev. Brian Ashby, at a service in Christchurch Cathedral on Saturday. The service was the annual admissions and promotions ceremony of the non-denomina-tional military and hospital Order of St Lazarus of Jerusalem. Bishop Ashby was admitted as a senior chaplain of the order. Bishop Wiggins presented him with a cloak bearing the insignia of a Knight of Grace. Several other members of the order were promoted during the ceremony.
