Consul to oversee Expo
NZPA-AAP Brisbane The New Zealand Government has appointed a full-time Brisbane representative to co-ordinate its exhibition at World Expo ’BB. The Minister for Recreation and Sport, Mr Moore, announced in Brisbane that the consul, Mr Anthony Briscoe, would oversee preparation for the pavilion. Mr Briscoe joined New Zealand's Trade and Industry Department in
1979 and had worked in the trade fair section, Mr Moore said. “We are the second country to appoint a fulltime representative which indicates our commitment to Expo ’88,” he said. Mr Moore also announced a • restaurant complex would be built in conjunction with the New Zealand exhibit. “Two restaurants will operate serving national food specialties and featuring our wines,” he said.
