Impala gains control
NZPA correspondent Hong Kong New Zealand entrepreneur, Mr Bruce Judge s Hong Kong investment arm, Impala Pacific Corporation, Ltd, has gained control over Cin-cinnati-based KDI Corporation. Impala said it would name five members of a new seven-member board after acquiring about 40.77 per cent of the outstanding shares of common stock in KDI which makes swimming pools and electronic components.
A Hong Kong director of the company, Mr Richard Gallie, said that it was hoped to use the United States company as a vehicle for further American investments.
“But it has some good earning prospects of its own,” he said. “It’s too early yet to say what our intentions for the company will be.”
