Boy missing
The Christchurch police are trying to find the whereabouts of a boy, aged 13, who has been missing from his home in Riccarton since Tuesday evening. A police spokesman said that the parents of Gary John Shields were concerned for his safety. He is described as European, 164 cm (sft 4in) tall, of medium build, with brown hair, and brown eyes. When last seen he wore grey-green trousers, a fawn shirt, black jersey, and cream sneakers.
Anyone who knows his whereabouts is asked to get in touch with the Christchurch Central Police Station.
