Would you like the opportunity to contribute to the development of the National Party’s economic policies? Applications are invited for a Research Officer/ Senior Research Officer position in the Research Unit servicing National Party Members of Parliament. The successful applicant will work very closely with Hon G. F. Gair, National’s Finance Spokesman, and with members of the Caucus Economic Committe in assessing current economic trends and developing policy options. Tasks will include the preparation of economic briefing papers and the preparation of material for use in speeches, Parliamentary debates etc. This is a challenging position, offering considerable scope and influence for a person with the appropriate academic qualifications, political skills, and relevant work experience. A salary related to qualifications and experience will be negotiated at either Research Officer level (salary range $25,008 — $33,293) or Senior Research Officer level (salary range $35,477 — $38,800).
