PA Wellington The Kindergarten Teachers’ Association conference has passed remits in favour of physically and intellectually disabled children being “mainstreamed” into kindergartens.
The association’s vicepresident, Ms Sarah Mulheron, said that children with special needs had just as much right to the benefits of pre-school education as other children.
