McPhail on, soaps off during holidays
While Oily Ohlson takes “After School” on holiday for the next two weeks, David McPhail will fill the 3.30 afternoon slot on One with “Free Time.”
McPhail will play the role of a caretaker, keeping an eye on the school while everyone else is away. He Will be joined by Sailor, the cockatoo, and a cast of rats, goldfish and guinea pigs. Earlier on One, returning to fill the soap opera
slots for the duration of the school holidays are “Angels,” a drama series about six student nurses, “Private Benjamin,” a comedy series about an army recruit, and “The Duchess of Duke Street,” the story of a scullery maid who becomes the owner of a select London Hotel.
An old favourite, “Bonanza,” will also replace “Prisoner” and “Dynasty” on week-day afternoons on Two for the next two weeks.
