'gfel I BELIEVE... A CHRISTADELPHIANS PERSONAL CONFESSION OF FAITH 11. I believe in the BAPTISM OF REPENTANCE, for the remission of SINS. Baptism has given me the opportunity of making a new start in life. I learnt from the Bible, that I inherited nothing when I entered this world, except sin and death, which as a -descendant of Adam, was my lot. Baptism has changed all that. I look upon baptism as the burial of the old person in Adam, and the resurrection or rising up out of the water of baptism of a new person in Christ. I became, with my new birth, a new creature, admitted to the family of God, begotten , not of corruptible seed as is a new born child in a human family, but of incorruptible of the Word of God that Ilves and abides. £ accepted baptism as a sinner, and my burial in water in filth and response to the Lords command to do so after belief in the Gospel, was THE CHRISTADELPHIANS public admission of of the weakness of my fleshly nature. I took no pride in being baptised, gnv p/jngt for It was a confession of my imperfection and real need that I might have my sins washed away.
