Industries Fair theatrette
Again this year, Industries Fair — 86, at Canterbury Court, will present free theatrette entertainment for all ages. It includes: AFTERNOONS 2.00: Johnson and Johnson Mother and Baby Contest. 11 heats, 2 semi-finals. Final, Friday, September 5. 3.00: Delmere and Rosa. Fastmoving variety of international entertainment.
3.30: Focus on Children. “The Magic Tree,” 45 minutes of theatre, with puppets and song, fun and fantasy. 4.15: 3ZB Junior Announcer Contest. Win $lOO cash plus Canterbury manufacturers’ prizes. Appear on Barrie Corbett’s 3ZB Breakfast Session as guest announcer. Daily heats. Open to all children, 10 to 15 years. Final, Friday, September 5. EVENINGS 7.15: Melody Mix-Up. A musical quiz with Paul Gregory. Instant prizes and a chance to qualify for the final on Saturday, September 6. 7.45: Delmere and Rosa. Fastmoving variety of international entertainment. 8.15: Microwave Magic. Specialists introduce 30 minutes of fun and finding out about the magic of microwave cooking. 8.45: The Great Bernardo. Mystery and illusion, including the Great Escape. 9.15: I. F. Prizeline. Each evening, attractive prizes for audience participation. Giveaway competitions, and a finalist chosen to enter the Grand Final on Saturday, September 6. 9.40: Take a Chance Contest.
