Wellesley fully subscribed
Wellington reporter
Wellesley Resources reports that its $52 million share issue, the largest in the Stock Exchange's history, yesterday opened and closed immediately, fully subscribed. The 35 million 50c ordinary shares at an issue price of $1.50 received strong institutional and public support, the directors said. Demand substantially exceeded supply. Allotment of shares and listing formalities are expected to be completed in time to allow Stock Exchange listing by August 25.
