Honour On to repeat win at Cambridge

Special correspondent Auckland Honour On is favoured to win the Cambridge Welding Centennial Cup at the Cambridge Trotting Club’s meeting this evening after his dashing win in the Cambridge Cup run on the course on August 1. The Cambridge Welding Centennial Cup, is run over the same distance. Honour On faces weaker opposition and he has drawn well at No. 5. Graham Bruton has the drive again.

Brutus Hanover, has drawn badly near the outside/ but is still likely to be well-supported.

though he did not shape badly in finishing fourth.

Decius and Pixarmbro may be the best of the others.

Decius finished well back at Alexandra Park last Friday but he ran fifth the start before in the Radio IZH Cambridge Cup.

He has a fine record at trials in the Waikato in recent weeks and will appreciate the left-handed way of racing. Pixarmbro has hot paid a dividend for some considerable time but he showed plenty of speed at Alexandra Park last Friday and could be returning to form. Paul Tuft was a good fifth at Alexandra Park last Friday. He is usually a reliable beginner and will be suited by the distance, 2200 m. One of the best prospects of the evening appears to be African Man in the first leg of the T.A.B. 'treble, the Cambridge Panel Works Mobile Pace. He ran third at Alexandra Park last Friday and could well lead from , end to end in the 2200 metre C 3 race.
