No action on envoy
PA Wellington The Government is taking no action against an American diplomat who refused to take a breath test when stopped at a Ministry of Transport checkpoint in Wellington two weeks ago. The diplomat followed his embassy’s policy on
immunity in refusing the test and was driven home by a member of the police diplomatic protection squad.
Mr Lange said yesterday that he was satisfied from the report that no further action was required.
