Mr Galvin may quit
PA Auckland The former New Zealand Party leader, Mr John Galvin, may quit politics after failing to gain the Matamata candidacy. Mr Galvin was yesterday evaluating his political future after failing to get further than the preselection contest for the safe National Party seat. Five persons, including the National Party president, Mrs Sue Wood, were chosen from the line-up of 12 potential candidates. Mr Galvin said he was disappointed not to reach the final five.
