Conner rates N.Z.
PA Auckland Dennis Conner, skipper of the yacht which lost the America’s Cup to Australia in 1983, rates New Zealand a top chance of making the last four in the elimination series to find the 1987 challenger.
“It was an eye opener at the world 12-metre championship at Fremantle how well New Zealand did,” said Conner on arrival in Auckland yesterday to attend the launching of New Zealand’s new yacht today.
