Election results
The results of this year’s elections for the Meat and Wool Board’s Electoral Committee have been given by the returning officer, Mr Michael Calder. In North Canterbury Mr Dick Davison was re-elected with 457 votes from Mr Lindsay McGrath with 192.. In Mid-Canterbury Mr Alan Grant, with 430 votes, unseated Mr Brian Lili, who received 172 votes. About 47 to 48 per cent of voting papers issued to meat and wool farmers in the two districts were returned.
