Christchurch Polytechnic students on the professional pre-entry radio broadcasting course donned bizarre garb for a mad hatters’ party in Cathedral Square yesterday to promote the opening of “Plain Radio 1.” Broadcasting will start at 6 a.m. and finish on August 9. The station will be on air six hours each day on 92.1 FM.
