The first child of the Duke and Duchess of York is almost certain to be a daughter, according to research by the West German Luftwaffe. Ten years ago, a Luftwaffe expert found that helicopter pilots with more than 1000 hours flying time were far more likely to have daughters than sons.
A control group pro* duced 35 sons- and 73 daughters. Before they became pilots that group had produced 83 sons and 72 daughters, an aviation space and environmental journal reported.
The results were ascribed by a British epidemiologist, Mr William Lyster, to noise stress which led to low testerone levels which inclined men to father daughters.
