Another Ocker Rocker
Iva Davies leads Icehouse to the Christchurch Town Hall on Tuesday evening.
Hard on the heels of compatriot Jimmy Barnes — another Australian with an eye to U.S. sales — Iva also promises big stage sound.
Much of what Icehouse delivers will be off their new gold LP, “Measure for Measure,” which has dropped from number five to 10 in the New Zealand charts. The Brit-ish-produced record has ■yielded the hit “No Promises.’” A souvenir release of their new single, “Mr Big,” will be made to coincide with the sixdate national tour.
The support band is Everything that Flies, whose slick debut video, directed by an Auckland fashion photographer, Kerry Brown, put to shame later Television New Zealand efforts.
