N.Z.R.U. approves family tickets

The Canterbury Rugby Union will be selling family tickets for Canterbury’s match against Australia at Lancaster Park on August 16. Approval from the N.Z.R.U. to do so was received at a meeting of the Canterbury management committee last evening. The tickets, which allow for two adults and three children, will cost $l5 and will be for seats in the two open stands, Nos 4 and 5. The chairman of the tickets committee, Mr Gerald Wilson, said that there had been a good demand from season ticket-holders for preferential bookings. It was well up on the same stage befpre the French test last month. “Now that we have got these family tickets I am sure we will get a big crowd for the game; there is obviously a lot of interest,” said Mr Wilson.
