RS New Zealand I ill Dairy Research Institute SCIENTIST BASIC RESEARCH THIS INSTITUTE has a vacancy for a research officer in Its Milkfat and Butter Section. This is a new position arising from a decision to stregthen fundamental research in certain key areas. Research topics will include the physical properties of fats with particular emphasis on defining texture and flow characteristics in terms of fundamental rheological principles and the investigation of processes such as setting and work softening. The appointee will form part of a small group working on basic aspects of fat chemistry in conjunction with the Section’s programme of applied research. Applicants should have at least a good honours degree In the physical sciences, technology or engineering and an Interest in applied mathematics and experimental techniques.
