Boost for sale
The 1987 InterDominion select standardbred yearling sales, to be held in Christchurch next March, received a further boost yesterday with the nomination of a brother to New Zealand’s fastestbred mare, Smooth Millie (1:53.8). This colt is one of three
prize lots at this stage sired by Smooth Fella. Others by the successful son of Most Happy Fella to be nominated include a sister to the champion pacer, Roydon Glen, a colt from the former fine racemare, Jillaire’s Chance (12 wins) and a filly from the former fine racemare Tuapeka Star. Other exciting nominations include a halfbrother by the Best of All stallion, Best of Abbe (1:56 and $340,336) to this year’s Inter-Dominion champion, Village Kid (1:55.5) and a Lordship filly .from the broodmare gem< Sakuntala.
