Good sale for goats
PA Dunedin Prices were strong at the Tahuna Park goat sale in Dunedin yesterday. “There was a good yarding of stock and a large bench of buyers,” according to a stock agent, Mr R. McMillan. Mr McMillan said this was probably due to the upward trend in the goat, market over the last month. Prices were: Purebred doe hoggets.
$2000; G2 doe hoggets (mixed quality), $230 to $300; G 3 does, $3lO to $500; G 3 doe hoggets, $l9O to $300; G 4 does, $l7O to $400; G 4 doe hoggets, $l5O to $l7O. Foundation does, $360 to $4OO. Feral cashmere does (mated to Imported Australian buck and micron tested with yield estimates), $450 to $570; feral does, $l4O to $150; feral doe hoggets, $l5O. G 3 wethers, $5O to $7O.
