Basketball matches
The two visiting Utah boys basketball teams were again successful in their second round matches in the South Island at Ashburton last evening.
The under-16 Utah team defeated Ashburton College, 83-57, after leading 54-17 at half-time. C. Lamb (24) and T. Pack (11) were the leading severs tor Utah. P. Curry top
scored for Ashburton with 16 points and H. Timms and A. Calvin both scored.l3 points. The Utah under-18 team won, 90-77, over the MidCanterbury under-20 side after leading, 48-41, at halftime. S. Todd (15) and B. Lander (16) were the best scorers for Utah, while B. Kerr scored 33 points for Mich Canterbury, J. CampOell 20 4nd S. Campbell 13. f
