Taxpayers praised
PA Wellington Three-quarters of New Zealanders get their tax calculations right, said the Commissioner of Inland Revenue, Mr John Simcock.
"I am delighted to say (the taxpayer) gets top marks for his performance,” Mr Simcock told the Wellington Rotary Club.
Last year 75.6 per cent of tax returns received by the Inland Revenue Department went through without needing adjustment.
“So the taxpayer gets it rights by and large,” Mr Simcock said.
