Three-match soccer bah
John Mitchell, the Woolston Workingmen’s Club Hertz League striker, who has already served a one-game suspension this season, was banned for a further three matches by the Canterbury Football Association’s judicial committee last evening. Mitchell, who scored twice in Woolston’s 5-1 win against South Canterbury United last Saturday, had amassed 44 penalty points.. The C.F.A added a rider to the suspen-
sion, that if Mitchell reaches 60 points on his return, he will be . banned for the remainder of the season and the Woolston .'club will be fined. 5 *
All Mitchell’s offences came under the general classification of foul play. An appeal by the Rangers club against a four-game.sus-pension imposed on their southern.league player;.’John Boatwood, by the C.F.A?, a fortnight ago, was rejected.
