Mrs Frances Jordan surprises her husband, Mr Bill Jordan, of Bill Jordan’s hairdressing salon in Riccarton, with a cake celebrating yesterday his 40 years behind the barber’s chair. Joining in the celebration is Mr Don Smith, who has been a regular customer at the salon for 15 years, and yesterday was given a free haircut and cigar to mark the occasion. The cake will be cut and divided among Mr Jordan’s regular customers.
