More shoes
Imelda Marcos, who gained dubious fame with her collection of 3000 pairs of shoes, has been found to own another 1600 pairs. She kept the extra shoes in her mansion on the central island of Leyte, her birthplace. Mrs Marcos has said there was nothing unusual about her collection, which averages out to almost 20 pairs a month for every one of the 20 years her husband was in power. — Manila.
