Well completed
PA Wellington The Tariki-1A well, 14km to the south-east of Inglewood, was completed at a depth of 2763 metres during the week-end, Petrocorp told the Stock Exchange yesterday.
Once completed, the well flowed for six hours on a 24/ 64 inch choke to clean it.
Dismantling of O D and E rig 16 was started, and -a detailed testing of well deliverability would commence later in the week.
It was anticipated that this programme would last up to two weeks, Petrocorp said.
The results of the test would be announced when they were available. Meanwhile, the Tipoka-1 well, 17km north of Opunake in South Taranaki, was at a depth of 1988 metres by 6 a.m. yesterday. At report time the well was undergoing a bit change before drilling ahead.
The Te Ranga-1 well which has been drilled off the Taranaki coast, was being plugged and abandoned, New Zealand Oil and Gas said.
The, operator said the well, whicff had reached 3882 metres, was logged at the week-end.
