Goods, service tax
Sir,—Having just received a copy of GST material through the post, I must say that it would be the biggest bit of propaganda I have seen in New Zealand. Just as there is a need to remove the drinking driver from the roads, we also need to remove this socalled genius, Roger Douglas, from the corridors of power. While the sharemarket runs riot, with fortunes being made free of tax, the rest of us bleed to death. I feel sorry for those who still believe that this is a working man’s Government They are being taken for a bus ride by the white-collar workers.—Yours, 6tC« J. A. MENZIES. Haast, June 29, 1986.
