Fire prompts evacuation
The upper floor of the Autolodge Motor Inn in Papanul Road was evacuated for about half an hour last evening after a hand-drying machine in a toilet caught fire. Four fire engines attended, and firemen used breathing apparatus because of thick smoke. There was little damage and no-one was injured. The fire broke out about 8.30 p.m.
