Prince to visit
PA Wellington Prince Edward will visit four centres during his eight-day stay in New Zealand this month, said the Acting Prime Minister, Mr Palmer, yesterday. Releasing the itinerary and programme, Mr Palmer said Prince Edward would arrive in Auckland on July 12. He would visit Wellington, Wanganui, and Dunedin before his departure from Auckland on
July 19. He would also spend a day at Mount Peel station, South Canterbury. Mr Palmer said 1986 marked the thirtieth anniversary of the establishment of the Duke of Edinburgh Award, and Prince Edward was chairman of the Anniversary Tribute Project. Consequently, several functions associated with the award, including the presentation of gold awards, were included in the programme.
