’Angels’ are back again
The series that make Kate Jackson, Farrah Fawcett-Majors and Jaclyn Smith household names returns in the late-night slot on Two. “Charlie’s Angels,” In which three police academy graduates sign on at a private detective agency, was the most popular new show of the 1976-1977 season on United States television. The appeal was not difficult to fathom: The three “angels” came from traditional American “glamour” backgrounds. Kate 'Jackson was formerly of “The Rookies,” Farrah Fawcett-Majors was formerly a Wella Balsam model and Jaclyn Smith
was a former “Breck girl.” Fawcett-Majors soon left the series and was replaced by Cheryl Ladd, but the series beginning a repeat season goes back to episode one.
