PA Wellington The Speaker, Dr Wall, read a message from the Queen, acknowledging the Address-in-Reply debate which followed the opening of Parliament earlier this year, when the House sat at 2 p.m. yesterday. In the message, the Queen said she and the Duke of Edinburgh had greatly enjoyed their visit to New Zealand and in particular the heartwarming welcome they had received wherever they had gone. Mr A. P. D. Friedlander (Nat., New Plymouth) presented the petition of the New Plymouth Boys High School Board of Governors asking for leave to introduce the New Plymouth Boys High School Empowering Bill. The report of the Privacy Commissioner on the inquiry into reported allegations of police misuse of the Wanganui computer was tabled. Ministers- answered 17 questions.
