Squash series sponsor
The New Zealand Squash Rackets Association has completed an agreement with Cadbury Schweppes Hudson, the manufacturer of Moro bars, to sponsor its popular tournament players championship series. The event, which will now be known as the Moro players series, is a grand prix series of 12 tournaments held nationwide between May and August.
At the end of the series, headed at present by Anthony McMurtrie (Hamilton) and Alicia McConnell (United States), the top eight men and women on the points tables will be invited to the series grand finals at Khandallah, Wellington. Six of the 12 qualifying tournaments have now been completed. The agreement is for 1986 with the right of renewal for the 1987 season.
