Lure for teachers
PA Auckland The Auckland Education Board has paid $lOOO to three North Shore teachers to persuade them to work in South Auckland schools — and it is looking for 12 more. The board is luring permanent teachers on the North Shore to plug gaps in short-staffed South Auckland primary and secondary schools with an offer of $lOOO a year on top of their salary and a travel allowance.
