T-bill rates easier
PA Wellington Interest rates on Treasury bills eased again at yesterday's $2OO million tender. Yesterday’s rates saw 42day bills at 14.228 per cent (last week 15.221 per cent), 70-day bills at 14.213 per cent (15.213 per cent) and 98-day bills at 14.366 per cent (15.118 per cent). Dealers bid $395M for the S2OOM on offer — well down on the SBB6M bid last week — but enough to drive rates down. Details: Forty-two-day bills. — Offered S3OM, bid S67M, sold S3OM, successful yields 14.19 per cent to 14.23 per cent, weighted ■ average 14.228 per cent, previous average 15.221 per cent. Seventy-day bills.— Offered SSOM, bid SI2OM, sold SSOM, successful yields 14.17 per cent to 14.22 per cent, weighted average 14.213 per cent, previous average 15.221 per cent. Ninety-eight-day bills.— Offered SI2OM, bid S2OBM, sold SI2OM, successful yields 14.13 per cent to 14.55 per cent, weighted average 14.366 per cent, previous average 15.118 per cent.
