Winstone purchase
PA Auckland Winstone Pty, Ltd, the wholly owned Australian subsidiary of Winstone, Ltd, is to acquire Melbourne plastic pipe and fittings manufacturer, Durahills, Ltd, for an undisclosed sum. The purchase, which is subject to Foreign Investment Review Board approval, will be made from G. and R. Wills (Holdings), Ltd, a wholly
owned subsidiary of Mr Ron Brierley’s diversified food group, Southern Farmers Group, Ltd. The company manufactures piping systems used in the Australian mining, processing, power generation and chemical manufacturing industries. The company also exports to South-East Asia and New Zealand. Management will be retained.
