Coney and co. travel in luxury
NZPA London Whatever Its fortunes on the field, the New Zealand cricket side will lack for little on Its travels around England over the next 10 weeks. The side has been provided with the latest in state-of-the-art luxury bus transport in which to move from match to match. The Leyland Tiger, which carries a price tag of £250,000 ($NZ717,500), comes complete with three television sets, a video system, four tape decks and a galley boasting a micro-wave oven. Those features complement more mundane facilities such as a refrigerator, radios and a lounge tastefully decorated with flowers.
The team driver, Mr Richard King, said the bus was normally used for VIP trips to the likes of Ascot or Henley.
